Yes, for a period of time Professor Hugo (as he was known back then) served as the youngest Charms Master ever at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, teaching the many wizards of the world how to cast them.
He experimented and came up with some of the best known charms today too – like Accio, which summons an object to the spellcaster!
Professor Hugo’s brilliance won him many accolades and fame in the wizarding world, and he was eventually offered the chance to take over as Headmaster of Hogwarts. He had to decline the offer though – he wanted to impart his endless knowledge to Muggles too!
Eventually the role of Charms Master was passed on to his former student Filius Flitwick, and wise Albus Dumbledore – his classmate – took on the role of Hogwarts Headmaster.
Living in the Muggle world now, Hugo still gets calls and texts from Harry Potter sometimes for help on spells. Even the brainy Hermione Granger texts in for help sometimes too! Ask Hugo anything, anytime, anywhere!
